Rene Marie Russo, an American actor and film maker who was a former supermodel is also a director of films. Her elegant beauty and her success in the film industry demonstrate her talent as an actor. Her career began modeling in the 1970s and soon became one of the most prominent figures in modeling. From the 80s onwards, she began taking acting classes, and was a theater student before appearing on theater stage of Los Angeles. The year 1987 saw Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell in ABC's drama Sable. In the following year she portrayed Tom Berengers love interest in her debut movie Major League. The critics were initially skeptical about her ability as an actor, but her consistent performances won them over. The praises were centered around her role on Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak and also in Outbreak, where she was competing with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. According to her own statements, she wasn't a fan of the acting. In 2005 she went on a self-imposed hiatus. Then she returned by playing a character in the superhero flick Thor. Rose Namajunas has been one among the most prominent UFC female athletes. Her journey began as an amateur, fighting at various regional competitions. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her up and she later became a member of the Ultimate Fighting Championships. The fighter has gained plenty of attention since joining the UFC due to both her on and off the octagon's successes. Namajunas is born the 29th of June, 1992 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. Rose played sports like basketball and kickeboxing when she was growing up. Invicta Fighting Championships took her on the 18-year-old at the age of 18, and she was able to take home two fights by submission. Dana White noticed this and on December 14, 2014, aged 22 she signed her for a fight as a strawweight for UFC. Rose has experienced highs as well as she's also experienced lows throughout her career but always came out on winning. Rose defeated Carla Esparza to win the Women s Strawweight Championship in The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Rose won with a technical knockout that lasted less than three minutes in the round One. Rose was also named Fighter Of The Night and set a record as it was the first time that a woman had ever competed in a tournament within a major promotion organisation across the globe. Namajunas continued to take home a number of other victories. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, earning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
